What this site is
This is a personal site publishing writing, film and commentary on unalienable rights, free thought, political freedom and related subjects. Everything here is opinion and commentary offered in good faith.
Nothing on this site is legal advice. The discussion of rights, constitutions and legislation is written to inform and to argue a position, not to advise you on your own circumstances. If you need advice about your situation, speak to a qualified lawyer.
Using the material here
The original writing, photographs and film on this site remain the property of their author. You are welcome to quote short passages for discussion, criticism, teaching or reporting, provided you attribute them and link back.
For anything beyond that, including republishing a piece in full, screening the documentary, or using the photographs, write and ask. Permission is usually given, and it costs you nothing but the asking.
Quoted and third-party material
This site quotes other people, including public figures and public-domain documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Those words belong to their authors and are reproduced here as quotation, with attribution.
Where a photograph or document originates elsewhere, it is used to illustrate the discussion around it. If you hold rights in something reproduced here and would rather it were not, write and it will be removed.
Links to other sites
Links are provided to sources and further reading. Those sites are not under this site’s control, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it. Check what you find there for yourself, which is the point.
Messages you send
Messages sent through the form or by email are read. Answering is a courtesy rather than a contract, and no confidential or professional relationship is created by writing.
Please do not send anything confidential, privileged or sensitive through this site.
Donations
Donations are voluntary, handled by PayPal, and support the writing, the film work and the events. They are gifts rather than purchases, they buy no goods or services, and they are not refundable.
Nothing on this site sits behind a payment. Everything published here is free to read whether you donate or not.

These terms may be updated as the site changes, and the date above will change with them.
Anything you want to raise, including a correction to something published here, can be sent to help@williamjackson.com. Corrections are welcome and are made when warranted.
